Indie Pop | New Zealand

Daffodils are one of those bands that everyone thinks they discovered first. Their debut EP “Boys” dropped in 2019 bc (before covid) and the future was bright. New Zealand’s best kept secret. Since the release of that EP it’s fair to say the world as we know it has dramatically and fundamentally changed.

Nonetheless there are certain themes that remain. Amongst the anxiety and uncertainty we all face, heartbreak and love lost have remained reliable truths. It is here that we pick up with Daffodils, who have danced and darted, ducked and dived through the sunsets and the shadows of closed borders, closed bars, and closed hearts.

Daffodils have warmed up the stage for international artists from Foals to Orville Peck to Wet Leg, headlined shows across Aotearoa with guests The Lazy Eyes in support, performed across the East Coast of Australia, and entertained the masses at a slew of festivals from Laneway Festival to Nest Fest to Rhythm & Vines and more.

With previous singles lauded around the world (including being playlisted by Radio X’s John Kennedy) the band are super excited to have their follow up sophomore EP “Stay The Night”, out now in the world.

Recently signing a co management deal with Drunken Piano and UK management team Mother Artists (home to infamous act IDLES) Daffodils are currently touring their “Stay The Night EP”, appearing at a bout of festivals over the 22/23 southern hemisphere summer and putting the finishing touches on demos for their debut album due out late 2023.
