Mikayla Pasterfield is a 21 year-old Singer-Songwriter from the outskirts of Camden, Australia. Stumbling into music after an errant “high school scheduling mishap”, Pasterfield spent the last four years refining her pen, crafting intimate songs that evoke a “feeling of catharsis in whoever they reach." Debut single 'Damage You Still Do' was released on the heels of 1M+ views on TikTok, with responses from contemporaries such as Gracie Abrams, Zach Bryan, and Chelsea Cutler. Now totalling over 780K Spotify streams since release, the track has received a full add to triple j Radio, and truly resonated across Australia.

Within weeks, Mikayla became the first Australian artist to sign with LA-based Music Soup, and now works directly with TikTok's distributor, SoundOn, to release her music.

The appreciation for Mikayla's honest expression has continued with follow up single, 'Bindi in the Dirt', which premiered on Home and Hosed and is steadily climbing past 250k Spotify streams since release. The gorgeous accompanying music video explores the experience of painfully clinging to a love that may have been beautiful, but is now no longer healthy or sustainable.

Mikayla is taking her heartfelt lyricism and infectious positivity to stages around Australia, supporting LAUREL (UK) on her national tour, performing for the FIFA Women's World Cup appearing nationally at SideFest and with Beddy Rays in August, BIGSOUND in September, and SXSW Sydney in October.
