Born in an Ethiopian household that holds deep roots of Rastafari/Reggae culture - singer, songwriter RAF RECEIPT possesses his versatility between authentic Afro Swing/Beats to today's modern day melodic style rap. As a youngster, he grew up listening to various genres which includes old School Hip-Hop/ R’n’B/Pop & Dancehall music with major influences from the likes of Michael Jackson, Chris Brown, Wiz Kid & Rihanna. Inspired and motivated by the ever growing Western Sydney Hip-Hop scene, the Afro Australian artist speaks volumes to the nation through his unique sounds and tunes to create timeless gems.

Raf Receipt made an entry into the Australian music scene in early 2021 introducing what Afro styled music could look like coming out of Australia. 2022 was Raf Receipt’s most consistent and creative year far. Releases such as ‘LAVIDA’ continued to push the narrative of what Afro-Fusion music coming out of Australia sounds like. Each of his releases consisted of numerous DSP playlist placements (Spotify, Apple) and seen the release of his highly anticipated collaboration with fellow Aussie artist, Jaecy, on their track ‘CITY LIGHTS (Rollin’ Rollin’), which has been performed and sung along too across multiple cities across Australia.

Raf Receipt kick started his 2023 with his track titled ‘I BEEN’, immediately followed by another single 'LOVIN' and then jumped on collaborations with MATHIAS & Miggy. The Western Sydney’s artist has continued to stay committed to creating more ‘timeless gems’ to the world by sharing his knowledge/experiences of life through his music.
