Bursting onto the scene in late 2019, Salarymen have become a formidable force in the Australian indie scene. Following the success of their debut EP ‘Scene Change’ in 2021, they returned in 2022 with their sophomore EP ‘Head in the Sand’, which received praise from all corners of the music industry and landed them a spot at SXSW Austin 2023, as well as Lost Paradise, one of Australia’s biggest festivals.

Forever honing their unique mix of indie, rock, psych and pop influences, Salarymen have earned multiple triple j premieres, play on KEXP (US), regular spots on local / international Spotify playlists and Apple Music NMD, features on NME, Clash, Pilerats and Life Without Andy, rotation on FBi, 2SER and SYN and much more. They’ve also sold out headline shows, played to enamoured crowds on their debut Japan tour, and landed the national tour support for Royel Otis. Aside from this, they’ve shared stages with the likes of The Lazy Eyes, Pacific Avenue, Eliza & The Delusionals, and The Vanns , and been handpicked by The Jungle Giants as winners of the Smirnoff Ads for Artists competition.

Salarymen’s extended body of work showcases a level of depth and song writing prowess that is hard to ignore. Hot off the back of their EP tour in Japan and Australia, and their trip to SXSW Austin, the band is continuing their winning streak in 2023 with the recording of their debut album.
