Young Henrys To Open SXSW Sydney’s Music Program With A Unmissable Night Of Rock

September 25, 2023

What better way to launch the SXSW Sydney 2023 music program than a rare collaborative performance, featuring local independent and international artists covering the best in rock and/or roll?

We’re excited to welcome an ensemble cast of Australian musicians — curated by proudly independent beer legends, Young Henrys — for an extra special installment of their famous (or refreshingly infamous) Rock & Roll Circus. Now in its seventh year, the circus always brings a wild night of music and this year will be no different.*

*Except for the added symphony of limited edition SXSW Sydney® x Newtowner tinnies being cracked open.

“It sees our various friends from all manners of the musical realm coming together to collaborate and have fun on a communal stage,” says Young Henrys Co-Founder/Director, Oscar McMahon. We are so proud to be able to bring this awesome celebration of music and mates to the very first SXSW Sydney.”

The all-star line-up will feature Dan Sultan, Wallice (US), Ben Marwe (Bad Dreems), Hayley Mary, Tyne-James Organ, Emmy Mack (Redhook), Jamie Timony (These New South Whales), Zoe Catterall (The Buoys), Zeppelin Hamilton (Velvet Trip), Annie Hamilton and Dante Knows, alongside the Young Henrys House Band, stitched together from members of The Preatures, The Delta Riggs, and True Vibenation. The shindig will be hosted by everybody’s mate and local radio legend, Fitzy.

And in true SXSW® spirit, Young Henrys will also be announcing a handful of surprise guests to join the line-up for some rock-fueled cameos. Keep an eye on their Instagram for all the latest announcements!
