About SXSW Sydney Session Select

SXSW Sydney collaborates with the world’s most innovative creative professionals and industry experts to deliver the Conference program through Session Select, its platform for individuals and groups to submit proposals across multiple conference programming tracks. It is an opportunity to share and discuss ground-breaking ideas on the world stage.

Formats can include panels, solo presentations, workshops, meet-ups and mentor sessions. We are also interested in reading your suggestions for speakers across the Conference program.

Our application form will walk you step-by-step through the process and you can read the Session Select FAQs for more information on your proposal.

Submissions for SXSW Sydney Session Select open on 8 December 2022 at 9am AEDT and close on 14 February 2023 at 11:59pm AEDT.

How does SXSW Sydney choose sessions?

Once Session Select 2023 submissions close, they’re made available on our website for public voting. This plays an important role in the SXSW Sydney programming, ensuring that content is timely and relevant to its audiences.

Voting results, alongside advice from our independent industry advisory boards, will assist the SXSW Sydney team in determining our final content line up.

If your submission is successful, you will be the primary point of contact and are responsible for all session information related to the proposal. The SXSW Sydney team will assist you in the delivery of your proposal, but you will lead it.
