HOW TO CREATE A DIVERSE, INCLUSIVE AND GENDER-BALANCED SCREEN PRODUCTION - ENCORE EDITION

Join us for a thought-provoking discussion on fostering diversity and inclusivity within production teams and the similarities/differences between Australia and Canada. Our host, Heather Webb, brings over 25 years of arts leadership experience in Canada and Australia, where she's championed gender equality in the creative industries. She's the former CEO of Women in Film & Television – Toronto and currently plays a crucial role at Bus Stop Films and the Natalie Miller Fellowship.

Heather will lead a dynamic conversation with three diverse voices from the industry:

- Kristen Hodges, a senior creative leader with a 15-year track record in Australian and US markets, excels in creating premium content and nurturing creative talent.

- Ebube Uba, a Sydney-based public arts and screen producer, is known for her commitment to championing African-Australian narratives through community engagement and creative work.

- Emily Dash, a writer, actor, disability advocate, and producer, has dedicated her career to inclusive storytelling and social justice. Her extensive board experience and creative achievements make her a standout in the industry.

Join this engaging panel as they address the challenges faced by screen practitioners in achieving diversity in production teams and share invaluable resources to empower your journey toward inclusive and representative productions. Gain insights, tips, and inspiration from these unique industry practitioners.
