Does Machine Learning and AI Further Entrench Gender Inequity for Future Generations of Women?

About

Four leading women in tech discuss the issues of unconscious gender bias that will result from AI and machine learning and debate whether it's too late to unravel the mistakes of the past. The lively debate will be moderated by Women Love Tech Editor and entrepreneur Robyn Foyster. She will be joined by Tracey Spicer, who is a
Global keynote speaker, emcee, broadcaster, author and multiple Walkley Award winning journalist. Tracey's book - MAN-MADE: How the bias of the past is being built into the future is out in May 2023. Another leading voice in AI is Dr Catriona Wallace, who is an Artificial Intelligence & Metaverse specialist, who has been recognised by AFR as the most influential woman in business and entrepreneurship. Catriona is the founder of the Responsible Metaverse Alliance and the Executive Chair of Boab AI - Artesian Capital's AI Accelerator and VC fund. Catriona was also the Founder of Ethical AI Advisory, now part of the Gradient Institute, where Catriona is a Director. She is also the co-author of the book Checkmate Humanity: the how and why of Responsible AI. Shivani Gopal will also join the debate. She is the Founder and CEO of ELLADEX and Co-Founder of Upstreet.
