Is Science Fiction becoming Science Fact in Healthcare?

About

Sci-fi films are famous for predicting and depicting the future. But technology is fast catching up with – and, in some cases, surpassing – those predictions. A case in point is the healthcare sector, where we’re seeing the application of artificial intelligence (AI) redefine what’s possible.

One of the key challenges it’s helping with is the massive inequality of access, in a global system that could reasonably be described as healthcare apartheid.

Delving into the fascinating and exciting grey area where science fiction and science fact cross over in healthcare, we’ll explore how technologies like AI are turning futuristic visions into medical reality, with a core focus on how this technology can help us move the world forward in remarkable, inspiring ways.

The panel will include co-founder and CEO of medtech pioneer Harrison.ai, Dr Aengus Tran, CEO of the Tech Council of Australia, Kate Pounder, and CMO of Microsoft ANZ, Dr Simon Kos, with the conversation moderated by Sam Armytage.
