Women in the Creator Economy | Monetisation and Identity

About

In uncertain economies, maximising your earning potential is critical. We often see the best ideas, side hustles, and services born in uncertain times. People are looking to monetise their time as much as they can.
The creator economy is a clear way that many people are looking to generate additional income for themselves and it’s currently dominated by women. But are women able to monetise their community in the same way men are?

Lara Cohen, former Twitter executive and Linktree’s Vice President of Partners and Business Development at Linktree moderates and participates in a panel with Jessica Box, previously the Senior Director of Product Insights and Analytics at Linktree, Managing Director of Girls in Tech Australia and now a Founder herself, founder and creator Anaita Sarkar from Hero Packaging, and Hannah Udina, Director of Partnerships at Shopify ANZ.

The panel will explore the importance of women finding their communities online, carving out a niche for themselves and finding a way to monetise authentically.
Each guest will discuss what the “creator economy” means. It’s a concept that people misconstrue as being solely for mega influencers. But in reality, anyone with a side hustle, casual hobby, or business owner can participate in the creator economy.

While women are leading the creator economy in many ways, are they leading in the most important one for their future - monetisation?
