Professor Alan Duffy is a professional astrophysicist; who creates universes on supercomputers to understand how galaxies form and to probe the nature of dark matter. Based at Swinburne, he is Pro Vice Chancellor of Flagship Initiatives, driving large and ambitious research programs and working across the latest technologies including space. He established the Space Technology and Industry Institute at Swinburne as the inaugural Director 2021-2023. Alan is an experienced public speaker, science communicator and leading expert in space science and astrophysics.
