About

Anna May Kirk is a multi-disciplinary curator, artist and creative producer based on Gadigal Land. In 2021, Kirk founded Supper Sessions, a grassroots arts funding initiative raising independent grants and opportunities for individuals in the creative industries through fine dining community dinners. The initiative has worked with chefs such as Xinyi Lim (Fire Door, Cafe Freda’s), Anna Ugarte (The Old Fitz, Momofuku), Shamen Suku and Arnold Wong (Cafe Paci) to create multi-course dining experiences. The mission of Supper Sessions is to put funding back in the hands of the creative community in order to champion experimental, critical and timely projects. Functionally these dinners are a way of generating independent funding for creative projects, and implicitly critical as a way of generating conversation about the availability and distribution of resources within the mainstream arts industry. Featuring music, performance and surprise, Supper Sessions is a recurring time for collective joy, community breaking bread and generating support for one another.
