Catherine Marshall started her career as a news journalist in her native South Africa more than three decades ago. She holds a national diploma in journalism from Tshwane University of Technology and a degree in political science, African politics and English from the University of South Africa. Today, the Sydney-based writer specialises in travel writing, has won multiple awards for her work, and is published regularly in outlets such as the Australian Financial Review, the Sydney Morning Herald, Qantas magazine and The Australian.
