About

Chidiebube Uba is an Igbo-Nigerian, Sydney based public arts and screen producer. After completing a Bachelor of Communication at Western Sydney University (2019), she delved into further creative practice development and study at the Australian Film Television and Radio School (2022 Master of Arts Screen Producing). Initially planting her roots in theatre, Chidiebube has co-devised work and performed for The Q Theatre, PYT Fairfield, Branch Nebula and Sydney Opera House.

In 2017, Chidiebube co-founded Afro Sistahs; a creative collective (supported by Arts and Cultural Exchange, Parramatta) with the focus on developing stories by young African-Australian filmmakers and championing African Australian narratives. Chidiebube continues to embed community engagement and collaboration into her work and creative practices as a filmmaker, Powerhouse Museum Program Producer, Arts & Cultural Exchange Screen Trades Associate Producer, TEDx Sydney Curator, and secretary of the Nigerian Youth Association, Sydney.
