Sarah grew up in Western Sydney where she still lives and works. After getting a 1st Class Honours Degree in Exercise & Sports Science, Sarah conquered her fear of blood and went back to Sydney Uni to earn her MBBS in Medicine. She has spent her working life to date serving the people of Western Sydney and the Western NSW regions, first as a Junior/Resident Medical Officer and now as an Anaesthetist at Nepean Hospital.

For the past three years she has taken on additional work as a Pre-Hospital and Retrieval Specialist for CareFlight, the critical care aeromedical retrieval service and charity, based next to Westmead Hospital. The move has seen Sarah come full circle, having first volunteered for CareFlight packing medical boxes when she was a student.
