Dr Zaina completed her MD at Western Sydney University in 2012. She worked as a junior doctor and then emergency registrar at Liverpool Hospital, Australia’s largest tertiary trauma center & teaching hospital. Zaina completed post-graduate training in family medicine and is a board-certified Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Zaina holds appointments as a senior visiting medical officer at several remote hospitals in Outback Australia and has served on the Advisory board of Andrology Australia providing strategic direction on Men’s mental health. She holds a Diploma in Child health from Sydney University and numerous post-graduate certificates in the field of general practice.

Zaina is passionate about providing patients with access to treatments that improve quality of life. She is one of the earliest GPs in Australia to prescribe cannabis and has extensive experience in the field of cannabinoid medicine having treated hundreds of patients with an array of conditions. Dr Zaina specialises in medicinal cannabis treatments for mental health conditions including stress disorders and insomnia. Zaina works full time as a GP in Double Bay, Sydney. Outside of medicine, she enjoys surfing with her kids and dancing with her partner.
