Genie’s dual lives as a drag entertainer and marketing executive are filled with adventure, international intrigue, and unwarranted wardrobe changes.

Genie is part of the world’s fiercest entertainment franchise, RuPaul’s Drag Race. She also boasts the honour of being the first queen of South Asian descent to compete on any iteration of the acclaimed drag franchise globally. She understands culture through the lens of creating it for fans and new audiences alike. Every learning, every insight is kept safely in her wig for later use.

Off-stage and off-screen, Genie is a creative leader who has led global and regional teams for some of the world's most iconic entertainment companies. She most recently served as Head of Global Brand Creative at Netflix.

Currently, Genie leads programming, content, and activations for Mash Brands as their Executive Drag Queen; a role that brings together her drag and marketing backgrounds to shine a spotlight on Mash's 200-strong network of creative and strategic talent, and to show brand leaders across APAC the unparalleled sparkle of cultural expertise.

Doing all of the above is made possible by Genie’s favorite stimulant: homemade Indian chai following her family’s recipe: cardamom, ginger, and two kinds of sugar.
