Hannah Diviney

Co-Editor In Chief & Head of Creative | Missing Perspectives

Hannah Diviney

About

Hannah Diviney is a leading writer, disability and women’s rights advocate based in Sydney. She is Editor In Chief at Missing Perspectives, a publication platform dedicated to addressing the marginalisation of women in news, media, and democracy. Hannah has Cerebral Palsy and uses a wheelchair to navigate through the world. She’s launched a global campaign to convince Disney to create a disabled Princess character for their films, believing this would give millions of children around the world the invaluable chance to see themselves having adventures, rich full lives and being the hero of their own stories. She also believes it would provide a powerful reference point for non-disabled children to understand children living with disabilities. Hannah has written for the ABC, Women Love Tech and Mamamia among many other publications. Her advocacy work both individually and with Missing Perspectives has been featured in Popsugar, B&T, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age The Daily Telegraph, The Australian Women’s Weekly and Buzzfeed. She’s appeared on numerous radio and television programs including The Project, Today Extra, and ABC’s The Drum. She was a 2021 finalist for The Australian Women’s Weekly Women of The Future Awards and 2022 Young Australian of The Year Awards.
