About

Heather (She/Her) has over 25 years of leadership experience working in the arts non-profit sector in Canada and Australia supporting the career development of visual and media artists and the production and dissemination of their work. Prior to relocating to Australia in 2019, Heather spent 8 years as the CEO of Women in Film & Television – Toronto and its charitable organization, Foundation for WIFT-T.

Highly respected for her arts management expertise, knowledge of the creative industries, and gender equality advocacy, Heather is regularly sought after to participate on advisory and peer assessment committees, moderate and participate on panels, and be a guest speaker. Organizations that she has lent her expertise to include: the Canada Council for the Arts; Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission; Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning; the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television; and WIFT Australia.

Currently, she is the Philanthropy and Sponsorship Lead at Bus Stop Films, a member of the Natalie Miller Fellowship Management Committee, and Founder/President of Viable Arts Consultancy.
