Dr Jadey O'Regan is the “Doctor of Pop”, and Lecturer in Contemporary Music at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. She recently released the book “Hooks in Popular Music” with her husband Dr Tim Byron. Her research interests include the musical analysis of pop music, empirical musicology, and the development of visual representations to best represent the unique qualities of popular music. As a musician and songwriter, Jadey wrote, arranged, played, and produced music for her group Jane Vs World; and has performed with many bands including The Whitlams.
