Jeff Brand is Professor of Communication and Media at Bond University in Queensland, Australia, where he serves as Deputy Chair of its Academic Senate and Associate Dean of Learning and Teaching in its Faculty of Society and Design. He has developed a distinguished career as “Australia’s leading researcher of interactive games” for his biennial 18-year-long panel studies entitled Digital Australia and Digital New Zealand on video game audiences for the Interactive Games and Entertainment Association. The impact of this research includes the modernisation of The Classification (Publications, Film and Computer Games) Act 1995 in 2013.
