Jini is an award-winning videogame critic and journalist, winning Best Gaming Journalist at the Samsung IT Journalism Awards in 2021. Since 2020, Jini has contributed a regular games criticism column to The Saturday Paper, as well as contributing videogame correspondence to Schwartz Media’s podcast The culture. In 2019 they became the first Games Content Lead for Artshub and Artshub, where they helped found Gameshub, a new Australian games coverage platform, in 2021. Their critical writing has also appeared in ABC Arts, Overland Journal, Screen Education, ACCA online, and The Wheeler Centre online. In 2018, Jini was one of three Emerging Critics in Residence at the Melbourne Recital Centre.
