About

Joel is the Head of the Blackbird Foundation and Creative Director at Blackbird, a venture capital fund. Joel's has been responsible for a variety of different projects at Blackbird, including building the Community strategy, leading brand development and design, producing the annual startup festival, Sunrise, office fit-outs, founding Blackbird's philanthropic arm, the Blackbird Foundation, and co-developing Blackbird's vision, mission, and values.

Before joining Blackbird, Joel co-founded Umbrella Musics, where he worked as an artist manager for Australian bands The Rubens, Cloud Control, and Fishing. He also co-founded Sydney Craft Beer Week, a week-long celebration of craft beer that hosted up to 150 events across Sydney.
