Johanna is a transport planner and political scientist by training. She has worked on the smart mobility transition in Berlin, Germany for the last decade, where she focussed on the application of new mobility solutions to achieve low-carbon mobility in cities. Working for the government as well as industry she gained many insights into the disruptive potential of smart mobility tech and how to establish public-private partnerships to manage their adoption. Johanna has recently moved to Melbourne, where she joined the e-subscription bike company Lug+Carrie as a behaviour change manager, rolling out subsidised e-bike trials together with city governments in Metropolitan Melbourne to reduce car usage. Furthermore, she is pursuing a PhD at the University of Melbourne where she is looking at how to govern the smart mobility transition.
