Jonathon Sumner grew up in regional Victoria and graduated from Swinburne University (Melbourne) with a Bachelor in 'Film and Television Production' in 2010. In 2012 he started work at Iloura, a visual effects house in Melbourne, Victoria. In 2016 he ventured to canada on an IEC visa where he spent a year working as a compositor at Atomic Fiction in Montreal. Since returning to Australia he has also worked at Animal Logic (Sydney), Rising Sun Pictures (Adelaide), Method Studios (Melbourne) and is currently employed at Industrial Light and Magic (Sydney).
He has worked on projects including 'Ahsoka', 'Spiderman: Far From Home, 'Stranger Things' and 'Mad Max: Fury Road'.
