Karen is an accomplished creative practitioner with a record of establishing content businesses in SE Asia. After 14 years in the Australian television industry, Karen ventured to Asia for Matchbox Pictures, to launch reality television programming for E! and run their Asian outpost. She has built out a career in the region as an entertainment specialist. Karen joined Audible in 2019 to drive growth of Audible’s content in APAC. Karen is focused on initiatives that expand Audible as the premier destination for local creators across APAC to tell diverse stories with global audience appeal. Prior to Audible, Karen served a number of roles with The Walt Disney Company, most recently as the Head of Millennial Content & Talent for SE Asia, where she oversaw a multi-million-dollar development and production slate. Before Disney, Karen produced and directed a diverse range of award-winning television and digital content across the kids, factual and entertainment sectors. Working in Australia and SE Asia for Maker Studios, NBC Universal, Matchbox Pictures, Fremantle Media, Endemol Shine and Active TV, her visual works have premiered on all Australian commercial channels (7, 9 & 10), Foxtel and ABCTV and internationally on CBBC, E!, Mediacorp, YouTube and The Disney Channel.
