About

Katrina is a screenwriter, director and playwright. She works in a range of genres including feminist horror. She recently co-directed Bali 2002, a drama series for STAN. She wrote and implemented the Cultural Safety plan for that shoot. She is in development with her anti-racist midwifery drama series, Mother Tongue having shot a proof of concept with support from AFTRS National Talent Camp. Her film White Song was part of the SBS screened Dark Whispers: Volume One, Australia’s first all-female directed horror anthology.
Katrina was instrumental in bringing together women filmmakers across the country to form Women in Film and Television (WIFT) Australia, a national advocacy body for intersectional gender equity in the Australian screen industry. Katrina also serves on the WIFT International (WIFTI) board of women filmmaker activists from 6 continents giving her a global perspective on intersectional gender equity challenges.
She is a trained facilitator known for her ability to support deep conversations, community connections, and strong creative outcomes. She brings these skills into her directing and writing. Katrina is currently Chair of the inaugural Screen Queensland Equity and Diversity Taskforce. She celebrates her Indonesian heritage and champions diversity.
