About

Kirsty is the Head of Music at the new Creative Australia. Since 2020, at Creative Australia she has focussed on the development of strategy and opportunities for music both as an artform and as an industry. Since, 2022 , Creative Australia has piloted a Music and Games strategy to integrate the outstanding creative output of Australian musicians and industry to a great partnership with the local game industry.

Prior to the Australia Council, Kirsty worked for the Victorian State Government’s Music Works program. She was responsible for ground-breaking policy development and programs that responded to industry needs through new funding and investment. Kirsty was also instrumental in the delivery of the Australian Music Vault and the Music Mark at Collingwood Yards, the establishment of the Victorian Music Development Office (VMDO) and delivering the first southern hemisphere Music Cities convention in 2018.

Kirsty has been acknowledged multiple times by the music community as one of the annual Top 50 Most influential People in Music and was inducted into the Music Victoria Hall of Fame in 2023.
