Dr Liz Giuffre has been a music journalist for 20 years and an academic and researcher for 15 years, working for the majority of this time as a casual/freelancer. Now at UTS as a Senior Lecturer in Communications/Music and Sound Design she is a passionate advocate for equitable and sustainable creative industries workplaces, juggling two small children and work while also working to help the next generation of artists learn from the rich legacy of our existing cultural industries. Recent publications include “Popular Music and Parenting” and “Kylie Minogue’s Kylie”, as well as podcast “Music Mothers and Others” and “Ghosts of the Hoey - how to keep small scale live music viable in Sydney”.
