Originally from Wales, Marita is now based in Fiji and is the Founder and Director of Talanoa Treks, a small hiking enterprise working in partnership with four communities in rural Fiji.

She is also the Director of Talanoa Consulting, a Pacific-focused development consultancy providing climate change, food security, agribusiness, sustainable tourism, economic and social entrepreneurship, applied gender and social inclusion consultancy services to various clients in the Pacific.

A resource economist by background, Marita has worked across agriculture and forestry policy, food security, climate resilience, enterprise development, agribusiness research and sustainable tourism for over 15 years.

She also holds management council roles with Duavata Sustainable Tourism Collective and leading conservation NGO NatureFiji-MareqetiViti.

Marita is passionate about environmental conservation, women's economic empowerment, sustainable tourism, and linking communities to markets.
