Matthew Craig

Co-Founder / Managing Director | AUD'$ - Australia's Hip-Hop Connect

Born and bred in Melbourne's northern suburbs, Matthew Craig is a fiercely passionate creative, youth worker, and community leader. Of mixed Sri Lankan / Italian heritage, Matthew is the co-founder of record label R.E.A.L Music, a partner at Marshall Street Studios, a youth worker at the Centre For Multicultural Youth, and the host/editor of AUD'$ (AU Dollars) Australia's fastest-growing, and most respected independent hip-hop media platform. A lawyer by trade, Matthew turned his back on corporate life after university and dove headfirst into the world of media and entertainment, determined to see diverse individuals and communities represented at all levels. His career achievements include interviewing global names such as Brent Faiyaz, Isaiah Rashad, and Rico Nasty, guest-hosting the Triple J Hip-Hop Show, and recently formulating an official partnership between AUD'$ and TikTok, curating a hub on the platform to showcase the best emerging Australian hip-hop and R&B talent. In 2018 Matthew was recognized by the Foundation of Youth Australians as one of the Top 30 Young Social Pioneers for his work with multicultural young people both through AUD'$ and his wider youth work.
