Professor de Zwart is Professor, Andy Thomas Centre for Space Resources, University of Adelaide.
Professor de Zwart is a leading national and international space lawyer, with experience in both commercial and military use of outer space. She is the Deputy Director of the ARC Centre of Excellence in Plants 4 Space and has previously served in a number of roles supporting the growth of the space industry in Australia, including Deputy Chair and Director, Space Industry Association of Australia; Member of the Bid Committee for the International Astronautical Congress Sydney 2025; Regional Co-ordinator for the Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot and Member of the International Astronautical Federation Inclusion, Diversity and Equity Administrative Committee. She is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Law and a Member of the International Institute of Space Law.
