Michael Allen made his start as a founding member and bass player of much-loved Australian band Things of Stone and Wood who after signing to Sony Records in 1992 had several top 40 singles, two top 10 Albums and won an ARIA Award. After the band finished touring and making records Michael took the opportunity to explore his passion for composing music for films and television. Best known for his soundtrack to the award-winning ABC television series Redesign My Brain he has also scored over 10 feature films including Last Dance, Monster Pies and Bad Blood. In 2012 he ventured into writing music for games scoring several DreamWorks titles including The Croods, The Penguins of Madagascar and How To Train Your Dragon as well as the award winning Australian game The Forgotten City and Armello
