Paul Bassat is an Australian entrepreneur and venture capitalist. He co-founded Square Peg in 2012, and is passionate about backing the next generation of founders. Paul invests in companies that define the future of work, support the creator economy, and supercharge how we build wealth, store value and transact online including Canva, Airwallex, Athena and Zeller. Before Square Peg, Paul was the co-founder and Joint-CEO at SEEK (ASX: SEEK), the world’s largest online employment business, and has market-leading businesses in Australia, China, Brazil, Mexico and throughout South-East Asia. Paul was a director of Wesfarmers Ltd and a Commissioner of the Australian Football League (AFL). He is also on the board of Innovation Australia, the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation and the P&S Bassat Foundation.
