Paul Tollett began his career at Goldenvoice in the mid 1980's as an independent punk rock promoter, and took control of operations in the early 1990s. Over the years Goldenvoice has developed into the dominant alternative promoter in Southern California booking talent and operating music venues including the Fonda Theatre, El Rey Theatre, Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall, The Roxy, The Novo, Microsoft Theatre, and more promoting over 1500 concerts a year.

In addition, Paul has created and continues to develop multiple first-class music festivals, the largest of which is the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Now in its 20th year, the festival is two consecutive weekends, and attracts 250,000 music fans ever year. Past performers include Radiohead, Beyoncé, Rage Against the Machine, Daft Punk, Jay-Z, Paul McCartney, The Weeknd and Lady Gaga, as well as a who's who of up and comers at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, CA.

In 2007, he created Stagecoach California’s Country Music Festival, now in its 12th year. Over the years performers include legendary country music artists George Strait, Alan Jackson, Kenny Chesney and Willie Nelson alongside rising talents such as Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley and more. In 2016, Paul brought together The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Neil Young, Roger Waters and The Who for Desert Trip, a once in a lifetime festival in Indio, CA.
