About

Potaua Biasiny-Tule (Te Arawa, Mataatua, Niue) is an indigenous activist, storyteller, entrepreneur and hard-out geek. Along with his wife Nikolasa, they created Digital Natives Academy (DNA) in 2014 as a safe space to help inspire the next generation of digital leaders. As more young people saw IT, animation & creativity as their passion, DNA evolved, first into Native Tech, where young digital leaders could learn & gain qualifications and then Native Industries, an ecosystem of micro-businesses where these young people could now apply their skills and acquire valuable hands-on experiences. In 2022, the creation of Te Papatipu Matihiko (TPM) opened up the opportunity to create new Digital Hubs in communities that shared the same values, passion and purpose. All along the journey, they imbued our digital biosphere with a sense of culture, identity and digital wellbeing, alongside elements of creativity, storytelling, indigenous innovation and business basics so that young people could then share with their communities in a positive way. Potaua enjoys nerding out with his team, creating new legendary stories, thinking how to keep safe online and working together to make big sh*t happen. Leshhhgo!
