Racheal Rauch

About

Racheal has extensive experience within the global film and television industry from working in Sydney, London and Dubai. With a background in multiple disciplines including development, production, commissioning, programming as well as acquisitions and sales, Racheal has a holistic understanding of a project’s lifepan. She has worked for companies such as Bankside Films, Channel Four, the Seven Network, Renegade Pictures, Arrow, Studio Lambert and Met Film.

During her time in London, in 2014, Racheal co-founded LIFT (Ladies in Film and TV), with producer Alexandra Blue. LIFT is a grassroots community organization with over 5500 members and hosts regular networking events and seminars, and has received funding from the UK Film & TV Charity.

Since returning to the industry after a chronic illness, Racheal has established herself as a freelance development consultant, regularly working for Wooden Horse, Flying Bark and Broadtalk. She has job-shared on season 2 of Flying Bark’s 100% WOLF and in acquisitions at the ABC. Racheal currently works for Northern Pictures.

After experiencing first-hand the immense barriers to re-entry to the industry, Racheal has become a vocal advocate and consultant for job-sharing. Racheal is currently working with Screen Well on a job-sharing pilot program funded by Screen Australia. As the first of its kind in Australia, the initiative will pioneer a pathway for job-sharers and thus improve accessibility and inclusion within the industry.
