Rachel Newman is Global Senior Director of Content & Editorial for Apple Music. Rachel first joined Apple in 2009 in her hometown of Sydney as the Director of Australia and New Zealand Software and Services. She was previously a music journalist, including a stint as editor of the Australian edition of Rolling Stone, and managing director of a popular local cable TV music station. In 2018, Rachel relocated to Los Angeles to take on her current role, overseeing an ever expanding international team of content creators in helping to shape Apple Music’s unique personal editorial voice, with a focus on human rather than algorithmic curation.
