Ramon Lobato is an Associate Professor of Media and Communication at the ADM+S Centre at RMIT University. A screen industries researcher with a special interest in digital distribution, Ramon has published widely on streaming services and the future of television in Australia. He is the author of books including Netflix Nations: The Geography of Digital Distribution (NYU Press, 2019), Streaming Video: Storytelling Across Borders (NYU Press 2023), and Shadow Economies of Cinema (British Film Institute 2012).
