Shivaune Field is a journalist with Forbes Australia, reporting for both its digital operation, as well as the Forbes Australia magazine. Field previously wrote for Forbes in the U.S., interviewing Ariana Huffington, Karlie Kloss, Tory Birch, Barbara Corcoran, and other business leaders.

Prior to her time at Forbes, Field was a journalist at Bloomberg Media, based in the Los Angeles bureau, covering technology, innovation and the business of media. While at Bloomberg, Field interviewed company leaders including Elon Musk, Jessica Alba, Tony Hsieh, Charlie Munger, George Lucas and Jay Leno among many others.

Beyond journalism, Field is a PhD candidate researching the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and global governance. She holds a specialisation in the business implications of Artificial Intelligence from MIT, a qualification in Global Business Enterprise from the University of Oxford, and an MBA focused on Global Business from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio Business School.

In 2016, Field Co-Chaired the UN Women LA Media Summit in support of HeForShe, focused on gender equality in the media. In 2012, she field-produced the Bloomberg primetime special ‘Women to Watch’ featuring YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki, Facebook VP Carolyn Everson and COO Sheryl Sandberg, among other high-achieving women in the tech sector.

Field teaches a course on the generation of new venture ideas to MBA students at the Pepperdine University Graziadio Business School in Malibu, Los Angeles.
