SXSW Sydney 2025 will again feature 1,600 sessions and events -  400+ conference sessions, 150+ professional development sessions, 300+ music performances, 95 film screenings, 150 games, more than 400 brand-led events.

Submissions for the SXSW Sydney 2025 Conference remain OPEN until 23 March, but Public Voting is already underway, with many incredible contributions among the hundreds of sessions across the Conference's 23 tracks. See below for some of the most intriguing speaking proposals for SXSW Sydney 2025 - in need of your vote to be part of the event in October.

Tech & Innovation Tracks - Hearing from emerging innovators focused on solving the world's most pressing challenges
These four tracks will upskill attendees on how AI and quantum computing are transforming industries, how sophisticated cybersecurity measures defend our digital world, and how the latest medical advancements are revolutionising healthcare. Up for your vote:; “Are we designing a better future—or our own obsolescence?” with Kirsten Brown, Ben Hamer and Sean Gallagher; and “The rapid advancement of quantum computing has dismantled digital security measures much faster than anticipated. Become the one who knows”, with Alexey Bocharnikov of Accenture.


Marketing & Media Tracks - Exploring the future of advertising, the creator economy, and journalism
Attendees of these three tracks will learn to build authentic connections and communities while balancing commercial goals, taking away insights into the reshaped media landscape, from tackling misinformation to threats to press freedom. Seeking your vote, Poppy Reid, Steve Grace, Merrick Watts and Amy Castano on “The Power of Personality: Podcasting’s Shift from Brands to Individuals” and “The Creativity Gap” with Ben Rennie and Tim  Ross (Modernister).

Business & Leadership Tracks - Hearing from changemakers making a positive impact in a tech-driven global economy
Participants will elevate their expertise across four tracks from the evolving nature of work, education, finance and entrepreneurship. Up for selection, “DEI in Crisis: Why Ignoring Ethics Will Cost Us All” with Min-Shi Michelle Limn or “The Indigenous Business Sector: Strategies for Growth & Investment” with Kyah Bell, Kyah Simon and Craig  Blair of AirTree.


Culture & Lifestyle Tracks - Covering the breadth of human ingenuity and breakthrough trends influencing our lifestyles
These four tracks give insights to the experts influencing  the everyday, from fashion and beauty to travel and sports, showing how collective experiences shape communities and individual well-being. For your consideration - Courtney Krulis’ “Love, Hope, and Rebellion – Rolling the Dice on the Future of Relationships” with Steph Clarke and Megan Davis; “The future of travel – from turbulence to resilience” with Robert Dougan, Mathew Densten and Michelle Newton.


Future & Sustainability Tracks - Exploring how we live, move, and build a sustainable world
Across these five tracks, attendees will take away transformative solutions shaping resilient futures, through new design and technology. Up for your vote here, representing the Committee for Sydney, Eamon Waterford, with “The world is wrong about Sydney” and “Visitor-centred design for the built environment” with Andi  Mastrosavas and Nic Whyte to hear about The O, the world’s first location-aware museum guide created for MONA.


Creative Industries Tracks - Uncovering the disciplines, technology and innovations driving music, screen, and games
Attendees will gain valuable insights from leading creatives, developers and experts to upskill on platforms, financing, technology, live performance and events.
