UTS x SXSW Sydney Design Competition

WHAT IS THE COMPETITION?

In collaboration with our 2024 Education Partner: University of Technology Sydney, SXSW Sydney ® invites all UTS students (current & graduated within the last year) to participate in a special competition.  We believe in embracing emerging talent, so SXSW Sydney wants to showcase your art through wearable fashion so submit your finest t-shirt design to be part of the official SXSW Sydney Merch Collection at SXSW Sydney 2024.  

The winning design will be available online and onsite at the event for purchase.  

THE JUDGING PROCESS
UTS x SXSW Sydney Design Competition closes on 30th of August 2024. Designs will be reviewed by a panel of judges from the SXSW Sydney 2024 program, the SXSW Sydney team and UTS. SXSW Sydney will contact the winner via their UTS Student email address, or another nominated address if you are graduated, and announce the winning design via its official @sxswsydney page on 2^nd of September

THE PRIZE

The winning designer will receive:

• Their design coming to life on a t-shirt made available to the public.

• One (1) x SXSW Sydney 2024 Pillar Badge (choose from Games Festival; or Music Festival; or Screen Festival or Tech & Innovation).

• SXSW Sydney 2024 Official Merchandise Pack (items handpicked by the SXSW Sydney team from the official SXSW Sydney merchandise range)

The artist will also be credited wherever their winning design appears, which may include promotional social media posts, email marketing, on the SXSW Sydney website and online store.  

HOW TO ENTER

Submit your entry via the following form

• Your full name

• Student email address

• Student ID

• Contact number

• Upload two files:

• The design itself (PNG or PDF)

• A mockup or the design on a t-shirt

Design Guidelines:

• Maximum dimensions: 11.10 X 14 29.0cm x 30.00m)

• Mock up designs must be presented on a black background/mock t-shirt
