Experience the talent of the screen industry

The SXSW Sydney 2023 Screen Festival will bring together creatives across a wide range of specialties from around the world, with a particular focus on the incredible talent within the Asia-Pacific region. From feature films, short episodic content, VR and XR, to the burgeoning power of TikTok – we wholeheartedly embrace the democratisation of screen storytelling and look forward to celebrating the future of moving-image creativity.

The SXSW Sydney 2023 Screen Festival takes place from October 15 to 21.

KEY EVENTS

The Screen Festival - proudly sponsored by Telstra - is your opportunity to see exclusive premieres and countless screenings of a huge variety of content – from traditional features to short-form and episodic work. Multiple venues across the SXSW Sydney event precinct – like the ICC’s Darling Theatre and Palace Central Cinemas – will be showing traditional screen ventures alongside ground-breaking new technologies. There’ll be dedicated showcases for innovative technologies like XR, VR and mixed reality, as well as a First Nations Screen Festival curated by Pauline Clague, founder of Winda Film Festival.

THE SXSW SYDNEY SCREEN FESTIVAL IS ACCESSIBLE TO BADGE HOLDERS AND THOSE WITH A SCREEN FESTIVAL WRISTBAND.
