We’re just days away from our second-ever (!!) SXSW Sydney Conference and the energy is palpable! So many curious, creative, clever minds are set to converge in the harbour city for a week like no other this October 14–20. 

Our passionate programming teams have been working hard to make the magic happen and we can’t wait for you to experience this special event.

Keynotes

Canva CEO Melanie Perkins will deliver the opening keynote alongside “Queen of the Internet” Mary Meeker on Monday 14 October, 10:00 am at Darling Harbour Theatre. An unmissable session at SXSW Sydney 2024, this powerhouse duo will uncover insights from Canva’s evolution from an idea to a world-leading design and visual communication business.   • Human rights lawyer Jennifer Robinson will deliver a keynote titled “Challenges to Free Speech – a Global Perspective”, where she will cover issues such as protecting women’s rights, free speech, and gender based violence on Tuesday 15 October. Favourite this session
  • New York Times bestselling author Johann Hari will take to the SXSW Sydney stage with a keynote talk titled “Stolen Focus: Why You Can’t Pay Attention – and How to Get Your Brain Back” on Wednesday 16 October. Favourite this session
  • And hot off the heels of his electrifying NRL Grand Final performance, The Kid LAROI will deliver the closing keynote on Saturday 19 October covering his trajectory from Redfern to billion-streaming global superstar. Favourite this session
