SXSW SYDNEY ADDS FINAL TOUCHES TO ITS HUGE 2024 MUSIC PROGRAM

Get ready for it! Today, we elevate our monumental 2024 lineup even further, with a fresh wave of international and homegrown artists, alongside an array of exciting new panels, parties, showcases, mixers and conference speakers.

This rounds out the vibrant and diverse music program for our highly anticipated second edition.

On Saturday, 19 October 2024, as part of SXSW Sydney’s free Public Program at Tumbalong Park, GRAMMY®-nominated, multi-platinum ARIA® award-winning artist The Kid LAROI will present a showcase of top emerging First Nations talent, in partnership with triple j Unearthed and Blak Out. This follows LAROI’s Keynote at ICC Sydney, accessible to both Badgeholders and Music Wristband-holders. From dreaming of performing in his hometown of Redfern to becoming a global superstar by age 21, The Kid LAROI’s journey offers a powerful blueprint for aspiring artists.

Music fans won’t want to miss acclaimed UK singer and rapper ENNY and South African star Moonchild Sanelly performing live on the Tumbalong Park Main Stage on Wednesday night, in celebration of ibis hotel’s 50th anniversary.

“+91 Calling” will bring the energy on Sunday, 20 October, with acts from India and the Indian diaspora, one of the most exciting entertainment influences of the moment, covering genres spanning hip-hop, pop, r&b, club and indie. Newly announced artists to be taking the stage include KRSNA (India), KAVYA (India), Yung Raja (India), Mali (India), Manara (UK) with more to be revealed.

For all you industry stalwarts and newcomers alike, we're excited to announce more music-focused sessions to the SXSW Sydney Conference, which will see a range of industry experts share insights on new trends in artist marketing, navigating crisis PR and harnessing the power of the diaspora. This will provide SXSW Sydney attendees with a crucial platform for Asia-Pacific music and creative industries to catapult important conversations, drive forward meaningful collaborations and foster new connections.

And just added to the sensational slate of party and showcase presenters are Chapter Music & Our Golden Friend, Laneway Presents, Astral People, Sony Music Publishing, fbi.radio, Acclaim Magazine, Unpopular Records (launch party) and more.

Badgeholders won't want to miss the 2024 SXSW Sydney Music Festival opening party, taking place at The Underground on Tuesday 15 October from 6:00 pm, with performances from Voice of Baceprot, 2Touch (live debut) and more to set the tone for an epic week of music that will enliven the city.
